Connor Garvey

Connor Garvey has worked with the Browne Center in both Youth and Corporate/Organizational programming since 2010. Having grown up in a family of experiential educators Connor was steeped in the processes and magic of learning through action his entire life. He chose Outdoor Educator as his sophomore career project in high school, lead trips and ran ropes courses throughout college (when he studied Biology at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR), and furthered his learning through a year-round internship at the American Youth Foundation at Merrowvista’s Outdoor Education Center while simultaneously using the internship as part of a master’s program in Education through Prescott College.

When Connor isn’t facilitating learning experiences through group process he spends his time as a touring & recording singer songwriter. The worlds mesh together very well as he puts it, “They both have the ability to use metaphor to reach intentional thought and conversation…and they’re both darn fun!”

In his free time you can find him mountain biking, skiing, surfing, or any other of the myriad ways to enjoy the outside.
