Greg Bio Pic - Moby Deck Ring FVC

Greg Urban has just started at The Browne Center this year in Youth & Student Programs. When not at the Browne Center, he works at Project Adventure in Beverly, MA.

Greg originally hails from Chicago by way of Oregon. Having attended Oregon State University and being involved in the Adventure Leadership institute changed his viewpoint on what was possible career-wise and led him to work professionally as a challenge course facilitator. Graduating with a BS in Speech Communication in 2013, Greg comes with a wealth of experience facilitating college students, as well as strong technical skills in climbing, mountaineering, and canyoneering (having lived in the pacific Northwest: they all happen within an hour of each other!).

When not on the course, Greg can be found arranging music for handbells and ringing with the Back Bay Ringers, a professional handbell ensemble based out of Boston. He also enjoys finding new ways to use social media to engage younger audiences in adventure, keeping up with the latest in YA literature to relate to said audiences, and finding exciting new places to string up his hammock.
