Caring Instructors
Our Supervisory Institute addresses the following objectives:
  • Understand the many roles of a supervisor
  • Learn supervisory and management techniques
  • Identify personal communication and conflict management styles
  • Practice and develop interpersonal leadership skills
  • Integrate leadership concepts with real business needs, goals and actions
The Institute utilizes a 360 degree assessment to collect feedback for each individual and includes a 9-12 month repeat 360 to monitor successful application of new skills and techniques learned through the one week intensive course.

  • 17 different client programs
  • Programs occurred both at The Browne Center and client sites (in NH and Maine)
  • Over 450 youth and counselors participated in programming
  • Client groups represented a diverse range of organizations: international peace organizations, Environmental Camp, community college orientation program, technology camps, camp staff training, special education summer programs, programs to support kids whose family member has cancer, hospitality services camp for high school students, university orientation program, and independent school academic camp

Social and Emotional Learning In Action

This workshop provides an introduction to our new book.  SELA is based on the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning’s (CASEL) core competencies and provides 36 developmentally sequenced lessons.

After this training, participants will be able to:

  • Appreciate the benefits of Experiential Learning
  • Identify the Cycle of Experiential Learning (ELC)
  • Experience modeled lessons & Practice leading lessons with a peer
  • Understand the scope & sequence of the book and resources required
  • Know how SEL supports academic success & identify SEL competences
  • Confirm connection between Full Value Contract, Challenge by Choice, the ELC and school culture
  • Develop school specific implementation strategy
