Get your bearings! The Browne Center offers three professionally-designed orienteering courses on more than 100 acres of challenging terrain.
In orienteering events, teams plot their routes using only a map and a compass. Group decision-making and resource-sharing are necessary as groups run, walk, or snowshoe to a series of points both “on and off trail.” Orienteering promotes trust and communication within the team while allowing individuals to gain mastery over unique survival skills.
"I have learned that to solve a problem, you aren't always going to have the answers to your problems right away. Also I have learned how to set higher goals for myself now knowing that I am able to solve them. I also learned how to participate in a group." -Independent Middle school student
