Every year we bring together our contract staff for training and development. Above is a picture of Friday’s group! This years professional development focus was on experiencing activities from the new SELA book, refining skills on one of our two onsite orienteering courses, as well as reconnecting with colleagues and renewing verification of technical skills.

Wishing you all the best,

Pam, Mark, Tara, Jeff & Crystie

This month Mark Stailey, Director of Corporate Training,  traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to present at the Encounter Leadership and Organizational Transformation Conference. The conference was sponsored by Odisea, a fellow member of the Experiential Training and Development Alliance (ETDA) organization.

The purpose of the conference was sharing stories around human development and learning. Marks presentation highlighted tools that use design thinking and a human-centered approach.  One of the tools Mark highlighted is the Experience Innovation workshop which The Browne Center is a provider of through Experience Point.

Experience Innovation is a design thinking workshop that challenges teams to flex their creativity to solve a realistic and complex design challenge.  It can be completed in a half or full day format and introduces the concepts and methodologies in a fun and engaging format.

An intensive five-day course designed to help develop the competencies needed to facilitate consumer- and family-directed life planning

This course incorporates lecture, role-playing, action learning, and peer support to provide an interactive forum for participants to develop and practice effective group facilitation skills.
