The Browne Center

2013 Staff Training with Northeast Passage

An exciting opportunity to work with another UNH affiliate and extend our abilities in providing the highest quality of service to all people.

Our annual staff training day in May included not only the traditional welcome back and update on happenings at The Browne Center, but also a training component with Northeast Passage, a group that “Empowers individuals with disabilities to Define, Pursue, and Achieve their Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive Sports goals.”  For more information on their wonderful programs see their website: http://www.nepassage.org/

This professional development opportunity allowed our staff to gain experience with including participants who use mobility aids into their programs at The Browne Center.  The feedback provided by the Northeast Passage trainers provided great insight for staff to continue growing their skills as facilitators.
